CFCP Public Lecture: Will Wilkinson
Will Wilkinson is a contributing opinion writer for the New York Times and past vice president for research at the Niskanen Center. Trained as a philosopher, he has served as a United States political correspondent for The Economist, research fellow at the Cato Institute, and columnist for The Week. He researches and writes widely on topics including immigration, urban policy, fiscal policy, happiness research, behavioral economics, and economic inequality.
His current research and writing focuses on the challenge of revitalizing liberal democracy in an age of polarizing multicultural urbanization, and the development of a social and economic policy agenda that reconciles libertarian ideals of economic freedom with the modern liberal welfare state.
Wilkinson’s lecture is open to all students and to the public, and there will be time for questions and discussion.
